Vice President Al Gore Dedicates Book to Pupils

Former Vice President of the United States Al Gore has dedicated his book, ‘Our Choice’ to The Gower School primary. A signed copy of this book was presented to the children by a TGS parent, who works with Mr Gore on his efforts in environmental protection. The dedication read:

‘It is great to hear you have so many young people already interested in our environment and keen to learn how we can protect it. Keep up the good work!’

Mr Gore is a longtime proponent of environmental protection and emissions-curbing policy, with his Oscar-winning 2006 documentary ‘An Inconvenient Truth‘ informing millions of the threat that climate change poses to the Earth. He has written over a dozen books on the subject, cementing himself as a leader in environmental advocacy and preservation.

Upon hearing of our school’s Eco-Committee – a child-led organisation which organises charity events, competitions and sales to support global causes – Mr Gore commended our pupils for their passion. You can see his dedication to the school below:
