TGS Raises £1000+ for Ukraine Relief

Throughout the spring season, TGS held charitable events to support those negatively affected by the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.

Our School Council coordinated a bake sale to raise funds for Ukraine relief. TGS families were invited to bake and donate a sweet treat to the sale. Parents, staff, and children alike then selected cakes and donated a contribution to the appeal. The sale proved popular for all, and by the end there was hardly a crumb left! Between both our Primary and Nursery sites we raised an impressive total of £842.22.

On the penultimate day of term our Senior Choir sang outside the school gates in aid of Ukraine relief. The singing was to a very high standard, and many parents commented on how wonderful it was to hear singing to start the day. Our Senior Choir raised a further £253.98 in donations.

In total we raised £1096.20 to help Ukrainians in need. This wonderful amount has now been donated to the United Nations Refugee Agency, an organization that provides emergency shelter and essential items to Ukrainian refugees. Charitable contributions are crucial during times of global crisis, and the TGS community should be very proud of our collective efforts.
