Visit our cute baby chicks!

As part of our annual engaging and exciting Science and Engineering week, we will have baby chicks for The Gower School children to observe and investigate. To share the experience and joy of the fluffy hatchlings, we will also run interactive sessions with the chicks on Monday 12th June 2023 for children who are due to start school in September 2024.  This special session is available to children with a date of birth from September 2019 to August 2020 and gives them a chance to experience chicks first-hand. This is a great opportunity for your child to visit a big school and experience the environment including our lovely teachers. This also gives parents a preview of our school and to meet some of our brilliant primary children.

The 30-minute workshop will take the children through the life cycle of a chick and participate in some science themed art and craft activities. Please book your child’s place for a session for either 2pm-2:30pm or 2:30pm-3pm by Friday 2nd June. Places are limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Please note that we cannot accommodate you without pre-booking.

On Monday 12th June, please bring your child to The Gower School Primary site at 10 Cynthia Street for their allotted time. All children must be accompanied by a guardian or a named member of their nursery staff. Please ensure you arrive promptly in order for us to greet you outside and take you to the session. We encourage you to be interactive throughout the session so as to support the children’s confidence in a new environment.

We look forward to an exciting morning, full of learning and fun!
