The results of our recent Primary School inspection are in, and The Gower School Primary has met every standard set by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).
This was our first inspection under the new ISI framework, which no longer uses grades to assess schools. Alongside meeting all expected standards, the inspectors gave us incredibly positive feedback on the day, and their detailed report reflects this throughout. We are especially proud that their findings so closely align with our core values of kindness, respect, and high standards.
Inspection highlights:
• Leadership & Management – Effective and accessible
• Quality of Education – Challenging, with high expectations
• Physical & Mental Health – Warm and nurturing
• Social & Economic Education – Well-developed
• Safeguarding – Robust, diligent, and effective
The full report is available here, as well as an overview summary of the inspectors’ findings. We warmly encourage you to read this wonderful endorsement of our school, our leadership, our curriculum, and our care for every child.
Some of our favourite comments from the report:
• Our Montessori curriculum is “carefully designed” and “goes beyond age-related expectations.”
• Pupils are “actively involved in their learning” and develop strong independent thinking skills.
• The school provides a “supportive and nurturing environment” where “kindness and respect” are consistently modelled.
A huge thank you and congratulations to our amazing staff team for their dedication and hard work, during the inspection and every day of the year.
