Science

At The Gower School, science is given prominence, as emphasised by the National Curriculum. The school has a dedicated Science/Arts facility which is very well-equipped – enabling children to conduct experiments, practical observations and problem-solving activities. This area includes Biology, Zoology and Biodiversity.

To keep our children really motivated and with a love for science, we also offer:

• a team of dedicated and qualified science teachers, who teach a timetabled science lesson to all the children in small groups weekly.
• a ‘Science and Engineering Week’ with guest speakers.
• a ‘Scientist of the Week’ award.
• The school also offers an Upper and Lower School Science club and an Ecology club. These clubs run after school and are always well attended.
