The Gower School are looking to appoint a highly motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Teacher with experience of dealing with children within an educational setting to complement our sports department in our expanding primary school.
This is a part time position, for 3 days per week which starts in January 2024.
Job Description
The key responsibilities are:
• To teach PE lessons to all year groups in line with the PE curriculum.
• To coordinate and run clubs.
• Work alongside the Head of Sports to organise internal and external sports fixtures.
• To be available during Open Days and Parents Evenings.
• To attend relevant departmental and whole school INSET sessions.
• To support the Head of PE as required.
Working hours
3 days per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 24 hours per week – Term Time
Person specification
Our ideal candidate will be sensitive, flexible, talented and passionate with a good team spirit and will have outstanding teaching practice. You will hold a Degree and UK Qualified Teacher Status including evidence of appropriate subsequent in service training. Three years teaching experience would be desirable, along with being FA qualified and hold an ASA qualification.
