TGS wins three prizes at ISA Art Competition

20th October 21

The ISA Art Competition is a highly competitive showcase for outstanding artwork from young artists in independent schools across the UK. The Gower School submitted a very impressive 70 artworks to this year’s London North regional competition.

We are delighted to announce that TGS achieved three wins in this competition – Les Baleines (Forms One and Two) won First Prize in the 2D Group Key Stage 1 category; ET, a 10-year-old child from Les Flamants (Form Six), won Second Prize in the Drawing Key Stage 2 category; while last year’s Les Hiboux (Reception) class won Second Prize in the Textiles Key Stage 1 category.

The Gower School wins three prizes at ISA Art Competition 2021.The ISA Art Competition pursues an extremely high standard of art, and all our entrants should be very proud of themselves and their work. We are excited for Les Baleines’ First Prize-winning artwork to progress to the national ISA Art Competition!

We would like to thank Miss Wragg, our Head of Art, and Miss Bedford, who oversaw the creation of last year’s submission as Head of Group for Les Hiboux before taking maternity leave in July 2021. Finally, huge thanks to Miss Williams, our former Head of Art, who curated so many pieces in anticipation of this competition.

Come and visit us this Autumn!

We look forward to welcoming you to The Gower School!
