TGS child wins First Place in ISA Handwriting Competition 2021

21st September 21

The Independent Schools Association’s Handwriting Competition is an annual event that gives children at ISA member schools nationwide the chance to showcase their handwriting skills.

In July 2021, The Gower School learned that one of our Form Four children won First Prize in the national competition’s Year 3 & 4 Category. The child, now in Form Five, was praised by the judges for her “mature, individual hand” and the submission was described as “a pleasure to read.”

This pupil’s achievement has been inspiring for the whole school. Throughout their journey from Reception to Upper School, TGS children are actively encouraged to hone their handwriting skills and present their schoolwork in an exceptionally neat and attractive manner.

Our Principal, Miss Emma Gowers, congratulated the winning child during our first Friday assembly of the new term, where she was presented with her First Place certificate and received rapturous applause from the rest of the school.

Come and visit us this Autumn!

We look forward to welcoming you to The Gower School!
