TGS School Council organises Kindness Bags charity project

20th September 21

In June 2021, following the success of our Christmas and Easter Gift Appeals for Islington children in care, The Gower School announced a brand-new charitable project.

The Kindness Bags initiative, organised by our proactive School Council, invited TGS families to fill a bag with gifts for local vulnerable children to help them have a more enjoyable summer.

Recommended gifts included indoor games and toys, outdoor games, and art supplies. Ultimately, we received nearly 150 Kindness Bags from the TGS community, which was an astonishing result.

The Kindness Bags were collected by Laura Eden, Director of Safeguarding for London Borough of Islington, who thanked the TGS community for their generosity.
