TGS children pay their respects at 100 year Remembrance Service

14th November 18

Year Six TGS children joined the Islington Remembrance Sunday parade on 11th November from the Town Hall to Islington Green for the Remembrance Service marking 100 years since the end of the Great War. Our Head Boy and Head Girl represented the school and proudly laid a handmade wreath, with felt poppies and black buttons hand stitched by our 5-7 year old children. The school was well represented both in our group and amongst the Scouts, Cubs, Brownies and Rainbows present. Principal Emma Gowers said “I was so proud of the excellent behaviour shown by our students at this solemn occasion. Our Head Boy and Head Girl were role models for other children – calm and respectful when laying the wreath.”

Come visit us this Summer!

We look forward to welcoming you to The Gower School!
