TGS Head Boy competes at the ISA’s National Fencing Tournament

Our Head Boy represented The Gower School in the Independent Schools Association’s National Fencing Tournament on Saturday 27th January and came fifth, well done!

In his first poule he won two fights and lost two, in the second he won three fights and lost one (to a very good left handed fencer – always tough to beat). This meant that he narrowly missed out on a place in the semi finals. He put a lot of effort in the competition and did amazingly well.

The competition gave the children a chance to compete in a friendly but competitive environment, in one of the country’s best fencing venues, Leon Paul Fencing Centre.
