Background History

The Gower School was founded by Emma Gowers in 2000, growing to a successful infant toddler and Montessori nursery school based in North Road, Islington. September 2007 saw the opening of our 4-11’s school in a purpose designed, modern  building in a quiet street in the south of Barnsbury. The new School is architect designed, beautifully decorated, has been planned with sustainability in mind. We have a science and nature garden, a roof garden and every room is airy and has natural light. The school has a hall, art and science room and library, a children’s kitchen, small teaching rooms for individual or small group work or music tuition, together with plenty of resources and opportunities for ICT and DT.
