To-whom-so-ever-this-may-concern
My daughter was fortunate enough to
be one of the first children to begin at The Gower School in September
2002. Most parents dream of sending their children to an establishment
that celebrates and fulfils the exacting teaching requirements of
a modern day independent school.
Using the teaching principals of the
Montessori method coupled with the governments own exacting requirements
The Gower School has been a firm leader in the education and encouragement
of all its pupils. Each classroom is filled with educational aids
to encourage and focus the ever questioning young minds.
From my very first appointment at
the school I marvelled at the ingenuity of how the whole environment
is really adapted for the children that attend. Clean, well thought
out spaces designed for sole use of the children. The outdoor area
encourages healthy interaction with a large variety of equipment
to encourage young children to play thus maintaining a fit and healthy
disposition. Even down to the fact that there is an area for gardening,
in the summer an outdoor seating area and in the winter ample room
to build a snowman. All around are happy children able to interact
with each other and the adults around them.
Education of our children is paramount
in the 21st Century and we are all aware that the early years at
school are vital, coupled with a good home environment. Which in
turn will allow most children to excel which is exactly was happened
with my daughter.
The Gower School has made a great
impact on my daughter's social, educational and overall general
development in and out of the classroom. The ethos of the school
encourages all the children to interact, learn and play in a very
thoughtful manner on a daily basis. In a day and age where manners
are often forgotten all children from the Gower School come across
very well mannered. Miss Gowers experience and knowledge of the
educational system is clearly shared with her team, thus enabling
the whole environment to be uniformly welcoming to children and
parents alike.
My daughter has a strong foundation
in reading, writing, maths and a knowledge of the world from which
she can only build upon. With such an interesting and varied curriculum
which includes music, swimming, French, cookery, regular visits
to the library, theatre etc. My daughter looks forward to school
in the mornings and coming home at the end of the day. The Gower
School helps me to strike a balance, if only more schools were of
this exacting standard less parents would worry.
The Gower School has made an impression
not only on myself but more importantly my daughter, the impact
shall follow us many, many years to come.
