We are proud of our amazing staff team, who are passionate, committed professionals, who enjoy working with our diverse team and rise to the challenges of an ever developing school in central London.
Our team is large and varied, and ranges from Montessori teachers, early years practitioners, primary teachers, a range of assistants plus an army of lunch time assistants and helpers, to our wonderful catering staff and our friendly, efficient administration team. They are experienced and qualified, with a range of qualifications from Masters and Bachelors degrees to Montessori teaching diplomas to NNEB and NVQ III. All staff working with food, whether chefs, catering assistants or staff working mainly with children are trained in Food Hygiene.
All our staff undergo rigorous identity checks and are checked on List 99 and through an enhanced CRB check. We take up at least two references on every member of staff following our extensive recruitment procedure.
We work with a very high ratio of staff working directly with children, far exceeding levels set by Ofsted so that children get lots of individual attention.
We invest heavily in our staff team – both in terms of Continuing Professional Development and sponsoring staff through longer term qualifications, as well as by ensuring that The Gower School is a great place to work.
