"The Gower Montessori Primary School stood out for us due to the positive involvement of pupils and staff whose contributions have clearly influenced the design. A school environment was created which supports the learning philosophy of the school effectively, whilst making the most of a tight urban site and demonstrating a very positive approach to environmental sustainability."

Languages

The learning of foreign languages plays an important role at The Gower School. Each child is taught French once, or twice, a week depending on their age. Up to the age of seven, French is almost solely taught orally, but once children join the Upper School, they begin writing and learning more formal grammar structures. There is also a weekly French club, which encourages conversation skills. Chinese Mandarin is offered as an after school club and many children attend this popular, weekly group.
