At The Gower School we aim to promote the children’s self esteem through positive management of behaviour. We feel that children need boundaries that have to be provided in a warm, caring and stimulating environment. Promoting positive behaviour is a vital part of a child’s care.

We set clear boundaries and ensure consistency in the application of our expectations about positive behaviour.

Working in partnership with parents/carers is very important and vital to the promotion of positive behaviour. We give parents/carers clear messages about how much we value the contribution they make to promote positive behaviour.

All children will be treated as individuals. They should be treated with consideration and not in a patronising or undermining way. Discriminatory comments and behaviour from staff, parents or children is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
